Educationpatra, Kathmandu. A fake candidate has been arrested in the State Public Service Commission examination.
In Pokhara, three people have been arrested by the police for being fake candidates in the State Public Service Commission (SPSC) examination. Gururaj Sanjyal, the mastermind of the fake candidate scandal, is currently absconding.
After it was discovered that fake candidates were used in the examination, SPSC has requested the District Police Office Kaski to take immediate action against those arrested. Meanwhile, the Kaski Police said that the search operation is going on rapidly to arrest Gururaj Sanjyal.
Candidate Master ID 20959 Roll No. 13103 participating in the physical fitness test conducted at State Police Training Center, Chhinedanda, Gururaj Sanjyal, a resident of Suna-3, Calikot, created fake candidates and made them take the test.
According to Section 46 of the Public Service Commission Act, the commission is given the right to reject the candidate’s application, examination, interview or appointment recommendation if false or incorrect information is given during the examination.
The incident has raised concerns over the fairness of the Public Service Commission examinations and prompted the staff involved in the examination to strengthen security measures to prevent fake candidates from appearing in such examinations in the future.
According to section 46 of the State Public Service Commission Act, 076, according to the advertisement published by the commission, if the information submitted by a person in the examination is proved to be false or incorrect, the commission can cancel the application or examination or interview or appointment recommendation of such a candidate.
