On January 3, 2079, when Rekha Sharma was entering the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology as a minister, Nepal Telecom's mobile and telephone services were disrupted across the country. Sharma herself was the victim when the service was interrupted for about 2 hours due to the problem of the 'billing system' by Telecom.
